materials for a railcar

The aim of this project was to develop a complex concept of a train, containing its usage, interior and material. The result shows the teamwork of four industrial designers and two textile designers and how different ways of thinking and knowledge can come together in an interesting and effective way.
The "kultour" train is invented for cultural journeys and contains therefore a performance stage and a rather unusual seating for different situations.
Its outer surface is animated by the synergy of two corresponding, transparent layers. For the interior we developed extremly strong materials, which have an irregular and unique look to enrich the technical aspects of a train, but which are still highly functional.
